IIM Udaipur marks 15 years with global vision
Indian Institute of Management Udaipur celebrated its 15th anniversary with an event that brought together faculty, alumni, industry leaders, and students to review its progress and outline future goals.
Accreditation and rankings strengthen global reputation
The institute, established in 2011, holds the distinction of being the youngest Indian Institute of Management to receive AACSB accreditation. It has ranked in the QS World University Rankings and the Financial Times Masters in Management Global Rankings for seven consecutive years, reflecting its growing international reputation.
During the celebration, Director Ashok Banerjee presented five key priorities for the coming years: improving teaching quality, producing impactful research, expanding international collaborations, advancing digital innovation, and strengthening connections with industry and society.

Awards honor contributions and innovation
The event honored three staff members—Prof. Arundhati Bhattacharyya, Dr. Arvind Sharma, and Maredla Uday Bhaskar—for a decade of service. Pramod Kumar received the Research Paper Publication Award, while Rajesh Agrawal was named Professor of the Year for the third consecutive time, an award decided by alumni votes.
Alumni representative Kshitij Prabhu, a partner at Cura Capital, addressed the gathering and reflected on the Institute’s growing global alumni network.
Scholarship and keynote emphasize accessibility
The Shri Raghuvir Kothi Memorial Scholarship, instituted to support and encourage academic excellence among the children of IIM Udaipur staff members, was continued for the second consecutive year.

Keynote speaker Somak Raychaudhury, vice-chancellor of Ashoka University, described higher education as essential for nation-building. His talk blended astrophysics and management, emphasizing that institutions must support curiosity, creativity, and collaboration to address the complex challenges of the future.
In an earlier session, Quikr founder Pranay Chulet encouraged students to adopt curiosity, resilience, and lifelong learning. His remarks highlighted the importance of institutions like IIM Udaipur in shaping leaders capable of creating meaningful impact in an increasingly dynamic world.
The institute’s future will depend on how well it manages its expanding global reputation while addressing the immediate needs of its students.
