Ratnaveer Precision posts strong quarterly earnings growth

Ratnaveer Precision Engineering reported a 20% year-on-year revenue increase for the first quarter of fiscal 2027, reaching 318 crore rupees. Profit after tax grew 21%, totaling 18.2 crore rupees, while EBITDA margins held steady at 11.3%.
Credit rating upgrade and rights issue approvals
The company’s financial position strengthened during the quarter. Infomerics Valuation and Rating upgraded its long-term credit rating to IVR A-/Stable, up from IVR BBB+/Positive. Short-term ratings also improved to IVR A2+. Total rated bank facilities expanded to 388.47 crore rupees, a 31% increase from the previous 295.76 crore rupees.
Regulatory approvals arrived for a proposed 330 crore rupee rights issue, intended to fund expansion. The National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange both granted in-principle clearance for the offering.
Copper Clad Laminate project nears completion
Ratnaveer’s Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) project reached 60% completion, with commercial production scheduled for November. The 472.34 crore rupee facility, supported by Gujarat’s electronics policy, aims to become India’s first fully integrated high-volume CCL plant. Key machinery shipments are expected within weeks.
The project aligns with government initiatives to reduce import dependence in electronics manufacturing. Domestic demand for CCL currently outstrips supply, creating what the company calls a “compelling import substitution opportunity.”

Similar efforts in other sectors have faced delays, but Ratnaveer’s progress suggests a rare on-schedule execution. The facility’s integration—from raw materials to finished product—could set a benchmark for future manufacturing projects under the Make in India initiative.
Managing Director Vijay Sanghavi attributed the quarter’s performance to operational execution and strategic investments. “The upgrade in our credit ratings, regulatory approvals, and industry recognition reflect the strength of our business fundamentals,” he said. “We remain committed to delivering sustainable growth while contributing to India’s manufacturing ecosystem.”
Export recognition and market expansion
The company received the Star Performer – Large Enterprise Award at the 42nd EEPC India Export Awards, recognizing its engineering exports. Ratnaveer currently supplies stainless steel finished sheets, washers, solar roofing hooks, and precision tubes to domestic and international markets.
Its expansion into advanced electronic materials marks a shift from traditional steel products. The CCL project, developed under the government’s Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, positions Ratnaveer as a potential key player in India’s electronics supply chain.
With over 25 years in manufacturing, the company now faces the challenge of scaling new product lines while maintaining margins. The rights issue, if fully subscribed, would provide capital for further growth without increasing debt.
